| Today was a bit easier. All the encouragement, kind words, and
offers of prayer really were awesome. Thanks everyone for
those. It is still super hard for us all, and tomorrow will be
super tough at the viewing. I'm gunna be there the whole time for
my friend though, so hopefully that will help him out.
That's it for now. i'm super tired. I stayed out with Ryan too
late tonight. Oh! The highlight of my night...The
Offering. It is so good to worship God and attempt to take your
mind off things. It was good seeing some of my friends too.

| It has been a tough couple of days.
Yesterday afternoon I found out that my friend's mom had been taken to
the hospital around 2 sunday morning for having trouble
breathing. They found out that there was fluid in her
lungs. On further inspection, they found out that there was a
problem with her heart. Sometime later she had a
heart attack. They operated, and replaced a valve that had
torn. That surgery was yesterday afternoon. The surgery did
what it was supposed to.
Last night, maybe about midnight? maybe 1 o'clock, my friend
called me, told me she was stablized, and he was going home to shower
up and change and get some stuff to go back to the hospital to spend
the night there.
This morning about 10:00, I got a phone call from another friend who
let me know that "she [was] slipping away." I thought about it a
bit, called a couple buddies who are all close to my friend, and we all
decided to head up to the hospital to be there for our friend. We
all left work right away, and headed up to the hospital. When we
got there, they had just decided to take her off of life support.
I can't believe it.
There is a group of us who are really tight from high school.
She wasn't just "like a mom" to us. She was a mom to us..
Pray for the family, and for us this week.
It has been a tough couple days.

| Here's the abridged version: Had a wonderful evening.
Started out by leaving work for the day--oh boy was it a long
one. Then moved on to having some coffee with Naomi, and ended
beating Fudge, Josh, and Steph in Poker. Thank-you Fudge for
taking Josh out for me...and thank-you Fudge, Josh, and Steph the
pleasure of beating you.
Here's the unabridged version: Work was pretty crazy today. Had
someone else quit :-/ The government only allowed a certain
number of new work visas to be issued, and they ran out of them, so
Cynthia can't work for us anymore. She is now moving to canada,
where she has a green card. Then I had a lot going on with the GM
project I am currently the lead on -- which all took place while i was
on site at another customer's. --- blah blah blah,... in short, i
had a lot of work to do, and not enough time to do it.
Went to Starbucks with Naomi, and had a good time just chillin,
talking, and generally catching up on life. I saw my old pastor
there. Talked with him for a couple minutes. It was kinda
weird seeing him...it was especially weird, 'cause last time I ran into
him in rochester i was with Naomi as well...except that time i was with
Naomi AND Ben...and we were playing Snaps with the people at
Kmart...that was a great time!
After coffee at starbucks I went home, got there, and Josh wanted me to
drive back out to novi to play cards with them....I told him no, and of
course -- he talked me into it. I'm glad i went, because I did
end up winning.
Now I am going to bed, because i am super tired...and i have a meeting at my customer's first thing in the morning.

| Mike :
So how long do I wait to call?
Trent :
A day.
Mike :
Tomorrow.
Sue :
Tomorrow, then a day.
Trent :
Yeah.
Mike :
So two days?
Trent :
Yeah, I guess you could call it that, two days.
Sue :
Definitely, two days is like industry standard.
Trent :
You know I used to wait two days to call anybody, but now it's like
everyone in town waits two days. So I think three days is kind of
money. What do you think?
Sue :
Yeah, but two's enough not to look anxious.
Trent :
But I think three days is kind of money. You know because you...
Mike :
Yeah, but you know what, mabey I'll wait 3 weeks. How's that? And tell
her I was cleaning out my wallet and I just happened to run into her
number.
Charles :
Then ask her where you met her.
Mike :
Yeah, I'll ask her where I met her. I don't remember. What does she
look like? And then I'll asked if we fucked. Is that... would that
be... T, would that be the money?
Trent :
You know what. Ha ha ha Mike, laugh all you want but if you call too soon you might scare off a nice baby who's ready to party.
Mike :
Well how long are you guys gonna wait to call your babies?
Trent , Sue :
Six days. | | |
| The hurricane missed us mostly. We got some crazy wind and some
rain. It was still a fun time. I've had a blast in Florida.
Tonight we went to the beach for the last time. I went off on my
own for a bit. I stood on the beach, and let the waves crash up
into me. I got my shorts wet, but that was ok. I was
looking out over the ocean, and thinking about life. I stopped
thinking for a while and just concentrated on how big the ocean was,
and how awesome it is, especially mixed with the sand under my feet and
ocean air. God created all of that, and it is beautiful. As
I stood there for a while, all I could do was praise my God for how
great he is.
He's got it all under control. He knows what He is doing, even if
we do not know what is going on. As long as we follow His heart
in all that we do, we cannot go wrong.
Spend some time with God tonight. Ask Him to make Himself
apparent in your day. Keep your mind and heart open to it. It may
not be exactly how you picture it, but He will be there.
